The Pilates method is a practice that integrates movement, breath, and awareness to develop a stronger, more flexibility, and more balanced body. This practice includes exercises on the mat and various pieces of equipment designed by Joseph Pilates that use spring tension to build strength and encourage efficient movement.

At Rooted Pilates our mission is simple: to challenge our students with a practice rooted in Joseph Pilates’ method and informed by a modern understanding of the body, movement, and wellness.
