Randi Moore, PMA-CPT® -- Owner & Teacher Randi's  vision for Rooted Pilates is a welcoming and focused space for students of all backgrounds,  at any skill level, and in every stage of life to learn and practice the Pilates method. Her work is rooted in the desire to translate the Pilates method to be efficient and responsive to the ways that individual bodies best function. Every class at Rooted Pilates emphasizes Pilates practice as part of a larger approach to wellness.  Randi started practicing Pilates in 2003. In the years since, Pilates has been essential in expanding her body’s potential for strength, flexibility, and movement. Randi has been teaching since 2008, having completed her first Matwork and Reformer teacher training at Pendleton Pilates in Cincinnati, OH. She has since received a comprehensive Pilates certification through Balanced Body University. Randi is a PMA® Certified Pilates Teacher and a Prenatal/Postpartum Pilates Specialist through the Center for Women’s Fitness.

Kiran Parasher -- Mat Certified Pilates Teacher Practicing Pilates since 2009, Kiran is an innovative and inspiring teacher who is passionate about the healing and balancing power of mindful movement. Pilates and yoga have helped her approach daily challenges with a sense of humor and ease, a gift she hopes to share with her clients. Closely guided by the Six Principles of Pilates, Kiran’s classes are playful yet deliberate--designed to encourage active relaxation as well as physical and mental vitality. Kiran completed her Mat training through Power Pilates, and is currently completing her PMA Comprehensive training through Presley Pilates. She is also a Yoga Alliance Registered Yoga Teacher. She loves all types of music (expect a wide variety of funky playlists!) and enjoys exploring DC with her Chihuahua-Terrier mix Betty Boop!

Rachel Lopez -- Mat Certified Pilates Teacher Rachel started her Pilates practice in 2013 after her physical thereapist recommended the exercise to maintain the benefits physical therapy had on her ailing lower back and related nerve pain. Since then, her weekly Pilates practice enables her to cycle, row, and run with a happy and strong back. Rachel completed a Classical Mat Training with Mariska Breland in the Fall of 2016 and is excited to share the benefits of Pilates with her students.

Jacqueline Emanuel -- Certified Pilates Teacher Jacqueline has been a dedicated student of Pilates since discovering the method in 2000 in Los Angeles. With each year, her interest, enthusiasm and dedication to the Pilates method continues to grow. She has completed a 700 hour Teacher Training Program at Excel Pilates DC, specializing in the original method of Pilates and is fully certified on all apparatus and levels. Jacqueline believes that Pilates is a meaningful way to help people improve and maintain a high quality of life. Her approach is to both challenge and nurture clients. â€œPilates has been an invaluable inspiration to me and I want to help people of all levels realize the energizing benefits of the method.” Growing up in the Rocky Mountains of Colorado with an active outdoor lifestyle, she enjoys skiing, hiking and yoga. She lives on Capitol Hill with her husband and two daughters.
