  Randi Moore, PMA-CPT® — Owner & Teacher   Randi's vision for Rooted Pilates is a welcoming and focused space for students of all backgrounds, at any skill level, and in every stage of life to learn and practice the Pilates method. Her work is rooted in the desire to translate the Pilates method to be efficient and responsive to the ways that individual bodies function best.  Randi started practicing Pilates in 2003. In the years since, the Pilates method has been essential in expanding her body’s potential for strength, flexibility, and movement. Randi began her teaching journey in 2008 under Stacy Sims and continued her training through Balanced Body. Most recently, Randi was selected into The Heritage Training ® , an intensive, post-graduate training program dedicated to the teachings and philosophies of first-generation master teacher Kathy Grant and led by her long-time student and Pilates educator,  Cara Reeser .  Randi is a PMA® Certified Pilates Teacher and a Prenatal/Postpartum Pilates Specialist through the  Center for Women’s Fitness .

  Karla Brooks — Certified Pilates Teacher   Karla Brooks is a native Washingtonian. She graduated from Duke Ellington School of the Arts where she majored in classical ballet. She danced professionally for over a decade with various ballet companies throughout the states. Karla was introduced to the Pilates discipline during her dance career. Karla was a member of the teaching faculty at Body Arts and Science International (BASI), an internationally recognized certifying organization. She remains a featured model in many of BASI's study guides and manuals. Karla's fitness background includes certifications from the American Council on Exercise (Health Coach) Healthy Mom's Fitness (Perinatal Specialist) and BASI (Comprehensive Pilates).

  Rachel Lopez — Apprentice Pilates Teacher   Rachel loves introducing students to the powerful practice of Pilates. Her classes are accessible and challenging for all bodies, while her clear cueing helps students find more ease and strength. She delights in students’ ‘aha’ moments as they build strength over a continued practice.  Rachel started her Pilates practice in 2013 after her physical therapist recommended the exercise to maintain the benefits physical therapy had on her ailing lower back and related nerve pain. Since then, her weekly Pilates practice enables her to cycle, row, and run with a happy and strong back. Rachel completed her Classical Mat Training with Mariska Breland in 2016 and is taking her comprehensive training through BASI in 2018.

  Jaime Michel — Certified Pilates Teacher   Jaime Michel has been a Certified Pilates teacher for over 10 years. She was introduced to Pilates in 1998, after being injured in a car accident which left her unable to dance. Determined to dance again, Jaime used the Pilates method to heal and strengthen her body. During this time, she fell in love with Pilates and completed her Pilates certification in 2003 at the Ellie Herman Studio in San Francisco. Jaime’s teaching experience includes working with clients who have special rehabilitative needs, as well as clients who desire to improve their level of fitness in general. Her teaching style emphasizes core strength and proper alignment while engaging in exercises to increase overall strength and flexibility.

She discovered Pilates as a senior in high school and quickly fell in love with its rigorous-yet-intuitive approach to movement and the body. Teaching since 2012, Emily has worked with a wide-range of clients, including individuals with neurological conditions and chronic illness, as well as those looking to increase their strength and flexibility while learning about their body through movement.
