Rachel Lopez — Apprentice Pilates Teacher Rachel loves introducing students to the powerful practice of Pilates. Her classes are accessible and challenging for all bodies, while her clear cueing helps students find more ease and strength. She delights in students’ ‘aha’ moments as they build strength over a continued practice. Rachel started her Pilates practice in 2013 after her physical therapist recommended the exercise to maintain the benefits physical therapy had on her ailing lower back and related nerve pain. Since then, her weekly Pilates practice enables her to cycle, row, and run with a happy and strong back. Rachel completed her Classical Mat Training with Mariska Breland in 2016 and is taking her comprehensive training through BASI in 2018.

Mikayla Goetz — Mat Pilates Instructor Mikayla began teaching at the age of 16 and has consistently returned to teaching in many forms since then. Growing up as a dancer, she became interested in Pilates as a way to align and center her own body first, then later fell in love with sharing that with others. She has taught a variety of classes such as Pilates, Zumba, Hip Hop, and Ballet in private and group settings for students of all ages. Outside of dance and fitness, she is an actress by profession. She is a founding member of Boots on the Ground theater Company , a social activism focused company that works to expand the boundaries of performance, storytelling and community. Fitness and Movement, like storytelling are a universal bond in an increasingly divided world. Mikayla believes deeply in mind-body connections, and that as a society, as we improve, heal, and love our bodies, we will be able to do the same for our communities, and ultimately, our world.
